VisionQuest Recovery Society Programs
Mission Statement
The VisionQuest Recovery Society is committed to helping individuals heal from the disease of addiction by empowering them to make better lifestyle choices. We bring substance-addicted clients into a comprehensive healing journey, involving mind, body and spirit based on 12-step philosophy. We are especially attuned to the needs of individuals with a history with the courts, and actively cooperate with the relevant authorities to further the interests of both our clients and, by extension, the wider community.
Vision Statement
VisionQuest Recovery Society believes that:
- All people entering recovery need to be treated with dignity and respect
- All people thrive in an atmosphere of acceptance
- All people will feel safe when surrounded by constructive boundaries and guidelines
- All people have the right to play substance free
- No one can reach their finest potential while in an institution
VisionQuest Recovery Society also believes that the individual, with a growing healthy support network, restored family ties, an educational/therapeutic healing program, and the belief in a "Power Greater than Self" can resolve addictive behavioural patterns that render one powerless and seemingly without choice regarding self-destructive behaviours.
VisionQuest Recovery Society envisions a magnificent long-term treatment centre for those with addictions and related problems opening on the Sunshine Coast as its' ultimate goal.
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to offer a safe and trustworthy support network for men and women who have left an institution, genuinely desire to heal from addiction and need help and counseling to readjust to the outside world and reenter society. Our goal is to provide a cost-effective, practical and appropriate alternative to incarceration as a transition back into the community.
Intervention
Sometimes the first steps on the road to recovery can be assisted by those caring individuals that are close to a person still suffering the ravages of addictive behaviour. Those individuals often find themselves feeling unprepared or overwhelmed by the actions of their loved ones. The VisionQuest Recovery Society is able to assist in these circumstances. The Society is able to offer an Intervention Service meeting the needs of all involved.
Residential Programs
he VisionQuest Recovery Society has developed a very effective program of recovery for those suffering from addictive behaviours. A sample of our program schedule has a number of segments in order to reach a common ground for the resident and to benefit the program and its sustainability.
