Pulling Together Print

Pulling Together Print

Pulling Together is a limited edition serigraph by artist and retired RCMP S/Sgt. Ed Hill.

This print was designed in commemoration of the epic and historic event known as “Journeys ‘97”. The Journey of 1,600 kilometers from Hazelton to Victoria brought people together from RCMP, First Nations and Community to raise awareness of a growing concern with addictions.

The people are represented by all nations, cultures and colours.

The canoe represents all of society working together and community pulling together towards a common cause.

The pullers in the canoe are being helped, guided and protected by the image in the background. The “West Coast Women” was designed by west coast native artist, Roy Henry Vickers, and she signifies the nurturing, caring and protective nature of the women in the native culture. Her caring and protective hands are guiding the pullers on a safe quest and Journey.
